PRISTANIC ACID - Introduction
Lipid-lowering alkanoic ACID (also known as phytic ACID, PRISTANIC ACID) is an organic compound with a chemical formula of C19H40O2. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a peculiar odor. Fatty-lowering alkanoic acid is a long-chain fatty acid that can be prepared by the reaction of carbon disulfide and sodium acetone.
